Dear Mr Makemson
If you have already donated to our recent appeal to help the victims of neglect, like Kane, thank you. However, the problem of neglect won’t go away overnight, so if you are still thinking about making a donation, please read on to find out just how critical your help could be.
People don’t have to be physically cruel to abuse their pets, neglect can often be worse. This is why we desperately need your help today, to help save harmless animals before it’s too late.
Neglect can have disastrous effects and Kane almost didn’t make it.
When he was found, Kane had critical muscle wastage, dehydration and ulceration of the skin from lying in his own faeces and urine. The vet who treated him said he’d never seen a dog so thin and still alive in 30 years of practice.
The RSPCA can’t do it without you.
We do everything we can to rescue neglected pets and over 1,500 animals were freed from horrific suffering last year. But we can’t do this alone and time is running out for animals like Kane right now. View our interactive video to experience neglect first hand and give a gift of £14.00 today, because a dog like Kane may not have survived another day. |
