RSPCA - Neglect campaign

Neglect kills. Will you give something to stop it?
With your help, we won't stand by and let owners get away with doing nothing.

Dear Mr Makemson

If you have already donated to our recent appeal to help the victims of neglect, like Kane, thank you. However, the problem of neglect won’t go away overnight, so if you are still thinking about making a donation, please read on to find out just how critical your help could be.

People don’t have to be physically cruel to abuse their pets, neglect can often be worse. This is why we desperately need your help today, to help save harmless animals before it’s too late.

Neglect can have disastrous effects and Kane almost didn’t make it.

When he was found, Kane had critical muscle wastage, dehydration and ulceration of the skin from lying in his own faeces and urine. The vet who treated him said he’d never seen a dog so thin and still alive in 30 years of practice.

The RSPCA can’t do it without you.

We do everything we can to rescue neglected pets and over 1,500 animals were freed from horrific suffering last year. But we can’t do this alone and time is running out for animals like Kane right now. View our interactive video to experience neglect first hand and give a gift of £14.00 today, because a dog like Kane may not have survived another day.

Please spare a minute to experience animal neglect for yourself. Click to watch.

Finally, Kane’s owner was sentenced to five months in prison and banned from keeping an animal for life. But on behalf of the thousands of other animals out there desperate for love, care, or even a bowl of water, we need to act fast.

Please do something to stop neglectful owners from doing nothing. Just £14.00 could help us rescue a neglected animal and nurse it back to health.

Thank you so much.

Yours sincerely,

Nigel Yeo - Director of Animal Welfare Services

How anyone could neglect an animal is impossible for us to understand. But the interactive video we have put together will give you a first hand experience of neglect and what it means to a poor animal like Kane. Watch it now.

Without food, water or care, animals like Kane could die slowly and painfully with their owners getting away with it. Please watch the video and give a gift of £14.00 to help us stop it now.

Kane

The Vet who treated Kane said he'd clearly been starved for at least two weeks - and that it was the worst case he'd ever seen.

Feisty

We not only helped Feisty recover from his torturous ordeal, we ensured his owner was convicted of neglect.
